Seven Days, One Sound Each
Copy this onto the sheet beside your door, or simply read one line each morning.
- Monday Hold one conversation where you only listen, then jot three details on an envelope.
- Tuesday Put on an old record and name every instrument as it comes in.
- Wednesday Before leaving the house, say your errands aloud twice at the door.
- Thursday Between each chore, stop for two quiet minutes by a window.
- Friday Cross off the week on paper and circle what moves to the next one.
- Saturday Stand at a street corner for half a minute and count the separate sounds.
- Sunday Fill in next week's sheet, then read last week's once more.
Each line borrows from one of the four bench notes. If a day does not suit the task, swap it with another; the order matters less than the habit of picking something to listen for when the morning starts.
None of this is a program or a test. Skip a day without guilt and pick it up again tomorrow.
